Privacy policy

Who is responsible?

VOXO.LI, publisher of voxo.li, is the controller of your data. For any question or to exercise your rights: team@voxo.li.

The data we process

Account: email address, username, password (stored with irreversible hashing), preferred language, security settings (two-factor authentication, trusted devices).

Voice messages: the audio recording, the group, date and duration, plus the related votes, listens and reports.

Security: IP address and browser at sign-in, password reset requests and reports, to prevent abuse.

Payment (Premium): payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and a customer ID, never your card details.

Why?

To provide the service (performance of the terms of use), secure accounts and fight abuse (legitimate interest), manage the Premium subscription (contract) and meet our legal obligations.

No advertising, no sale of data, no analytics tool. Fonts and QR codes are generated on our servers: no third-party service is called when you visit.

How long?

Voice messages: 24 hours for guests without an account, 100 days for free accounts, 3 years for Premium (and in groups of Premium accounts), then automatic deletion.

Account: until you delete it, which you can do at any time from your account. Sign-in attempts: 24 hours. Inactive anonymous sessions: 30 days. Technical backups: 14 days.

Longer periods may apply when required by law or to handle a reported abuse.

Who has access?

Our processors, strictly for their task: OVHcloud (hosting, servers in Canada, a country recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate protection) and Stripe (payment). Emails are sent directly by our servers.

Cookies

VOXO only uses cookies required for the service to work: session (sign-in), trusted device for two-factor authentication (30 days) and chosen language (1 year). No advertising or analytics cookies, so no consent is requested.

Your rights

You can access, rectify or erase your data, request its portability, object to or restrict its processing by writing to team@voxo.li. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).

VOXO is not intended for children under 15 without parental consent.
